Smoked Turkey Pastrami Reuben

Instead of stopping for fast food for a quick sandwich, try making this lower calorie version of the reuben sandwich at home. 

2 slices   100% whole-wheat bread, or rye bread

½ lb.        turkey breast pastrami or smoked turkey breast (shaved) 

3 Tbsp.    fat-free Thousand Island dressing

½ cup      sauerkraut (drained & patted dry)

2 slices    low-fat Swiss cheese

Directions:

Spread bread with Thousand Island dressing. Pile half of pastrami turkey on each of the slices of bread. Top with sauerkraut & cheese. Warm in oven, or grill on stove top with nonstick spray and cut in half.

Serves 2 – about 300 calories each
